She was predeceased by: her parents, Ignacio C. Ortiz and Arcenia Salcido-Ortiz; and her daughter Melanie. She is survived by: her siblings, Victoria, Cecilia, Olivia, Sophie, Robert, Juan, Manuel and Faustino; and her children, Angela and Eloy J. Maes Jr.. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
