He was predeceased by: his brother Michael Ponce; his grandparents, Paul, Angelina Jimenez, Francisco and Francisca Ponce; his mother-in-law Kathy Vega; his grandson Thiago Ortega; and his brother-in-law Christopher Vega.

He is survived by: his parents, Joe Ponce and Pauline Ponce; his wife Jessica Ponce; his daughters, Kylei Ortega, Mackenzie Ponce, Ryann Ponce and Zoey Ponce; his granddaughter Elliana Ortega; his brother Joseph Ponce (Grace Pineda); his brother-in-law Pete Shangraw (Audra); and also Edder Ortega.
