He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira L. Stuart and Ilene C. Samons (Brumett); his former wife Phyllis Stewart (Steele); his girlfriend Janet S. Williams; his son Jimmy D. Stewart; and his siblings, Bill Wilcox, Carl Samons, Ronald Samons (Phyllis), Bernice Wood (Roger) and Doug Samons.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Niles (Terry) of Centerville, IA, Danny Ray Stewart of Roswell, NM and Jerry Lee Stewart (Angela) of Roswell, NM; his stepchildren, Lesa and Larry Hicks (Sabrina) of Spencerville, OH; and his siblings, James Samons of Lima, OH., Faye Starky of Lima, OH., David Samons of Lima, OH. and Donnie Samons of Lima, OH.. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren.
