She was predeceased by: her parents, Boyd C Dreese and Edna Simonson Dreese; and her siblings, Michael Dreese and Katherine Shipp. She is survived by: her husband Nelson B Alpers (Doc); her children, Greg Alpers (Jody) of Roswell, Doug Alpers (Dani) of Alamogordo, Diane Alpers Leven (Neal) of Roswell and Brad Alpers of Roswell; her grandchildren, Kyle Alpers (Casey) of Roswell, Nick Alpers (Libby) of Brookville, MD, Kim LaDuca (Chris) of Roswell, NM, Justin Alpers (Kathy) of Chambersburg, PA, Emily Grant (Caleb) of Roswell, NM, Steven DuCharme (Rebekah) of Roswell, NM, Shannon DuCharme of Austin, TX and Jim Alpers of Fort Worth, TX; and her great grandchildren, Corbin, Cooper, Colin Alpers, Elena Alpers, Jabyn, Tevya LaDuca, Tyler, Avery Grace Alpers, Hudson, Jake Grant, Abigail and Madeline DuCharme. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Helen was a member of First United Methodist Church for over 50 years and attended regularly until Covid.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Roswell Community Kitchen, Cowboy Bell Scholarship fund at FUMC and the Assistance League of Chaves County in Helen's honor.
