He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Pickens and Sally Whiteley; his wife Sandra Pickens; and his siblings, Thomas "Tony" Pickens, Jim Pickens, Benny Pickens and Tommie Allene Marrs.
He is survived by: his children, Harlan Pickens of St. Helena, MT, Mark of Midland, MI, Elizabeth Ann Sheppard, Karen McKelvey and Susan Miller; and his stepbrother Robert Steven McKelvey. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
