He was predeceased by: his parents, Brodie R. Stansell and Bessie Clayton; his son Robert; his granddaughter Ashley; and his siblings, Ricky, Wayne, Kathy Ward, Brodine Frye and Thelma "Jo" McClure.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Stansell; his children, Greg Stansell, Lisa Flanagan and Brandi Henry; and his sister Christine Langford of Tennessee. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
