He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Otto Smith Sr. and Vayna McClendon Smith; and his daughter Charleen Smith Karr of Sioux Falls, SD. He is survived by: his wife Bernice P. Smith of Pinos Wells, NM; and his children, Cathleen Vigil (Alan) of Moriarty, NM, Caleen Smith Shanahan of Edgewood, NM, Kenneth "Greg" Smith (Martha) of Stanley, NM and Chyleen Glisper (Timothy) of Albuquerque, NM. He is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 15 Great grandchildren.
