With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Candido Barela Jr. (Rodeo, New Mexico), born in Dixon, New Mexico, who passed away on December 24, 2019 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Candido Barela Sr. and Aurelia Barela; his son Mark J. Barela; and his sisters, Francis Grimm, Carmen Chambers and Manuelita "Mela" Chavez.
He is survived by: his wife Monica Valencia Barela of Pecos, NM; his children, Jacqueline Engleman of Antioch, CA, Janet Barela of Albuquerque, NM and John Barela (Heidi Forrest-Barela) of Poquoson, VA; his grandchildren, Taylor, Adam, Aurelia Barela, Adrian Mathis, Adrianna Hasby, Marcus and Candace Barela; his great grandchildren, Lucille, Donavan and Lola Barela; and his sister Margaret Parea. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
