He was predeceased by: his parents, Elsa Schwedes and Gustave Goetz. He is survived by: his son Edward; his daughter-in-law Christie Goetz of Fairfax Station; his daughter Christine; his son-in-law Bryan Cain of Albuquerque; and his grandchildren, Rebecca Goetz, Alec Goetz, Loden Cain and Deryn Cain.
Memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
