Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Mary Elizabeth DeVargas of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, who passed away at the age of 72, on December 11, 2024. She was predeceased by: her parents, Epi Mares and Kate Mares; and her siblings, James Mares (Liz), Tomasita Navarro (George) and Stan.
She is survived by: her children, Rebecca of Rio Rancho, Thadd (Jessica) of Los Lunas, Alexia of Rio Rancho and Sean (Natasha) of Rio Rancho; her sisters, Patti Urioste of Bernalillo and Kathy Castillo (Kevin) of Rio Rancho; her grandsons, Jonathan, Andrew and Sean Michael; and her great grandchild Titus. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A rosary will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A Mass will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church (301 S Camino Del Pueblo, Bernalillo, NM 87004).
