It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucille Nicks (Rio Rancho, New Mexico), born in Starkville, Mississippi, who passed away on May 9, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ward and Lilly Mae Ward; her husband David Nicks; and her son Ronald Keith Nicks. She is survived by: her children, Brenda Phillips (Rubin), David Lewis Nicks, Bertha Lucille Bridges (Kerry) and Ivan Christopher Nicks (Jody); her grandchildren, Shawn (Isabel), Janell (Duriel), Steven (Danielle), Audrey, Alicia, Leslie, Jasmine, Erica (Rico), Ronald Jr., Ally, Elisa "Jordan", Dionne, Jamila, Dequanna and Ivan Ladre; her great grandchildren, Janea, Jaylah, Mario, Steve Jr., Benjamin, Alexis, Jayme Jr., Aunestie, Solon, Shiloh, Imani, Ayzia, Ronald III, Julianne, Kayla, Alex, Diamon, Daijah, Amir, Sanai, Cristaino and Amaya; her siblings, Maudine Dickson, Annie Ruth Nicks, Lilly Burton and Nell Childress; and her friend Dorothy Griffin.
