He is survived by: his children, Lee Gonzales (Janet), Rosendo Chavez, Paul Chavez Jr., Sheryl Ortiz (Tommy) and Loretta Gallegos (Frank); his grandchildren, Jacob Ortiz (Dominique), Jessica Ortiz, Adam Ortiz (Adrianna), James Ortiz (Maxine), Nea Gonzales, Lleana Gonzales, Eligio Gonzales, Bazon Chavez, Daniel Gallegos and Gabriela Gallegos; his brother Jimmy Chavez; and his stepsisters, Carmen Villanueva and Rose Vigil.
