In the vast expanse of eternity, Rafaelita shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Rafaelita farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband Desiderio "J. O." Lucero; her parents, Nerio F. Ortiz and Maria Eloisa Vigil Ortiz; and her son-in-law James Garcia. She is survived by: her children, Adella Lucero Garcia of Raton and Jimmy Lucero of Raton; her grandchildren, Ursula Garcia of Raton and Bryan Garcia of Raton; her great grandchild Zoe Gomez of Colorado; and her brother Dan Ortiz of Raton.
