She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Jose Alfredo and Maria Socorro Duran; her husband Norbert Ortega; and her children, Benita Rael (Carlos), Norby Avelar (Pete), David (Nancy), Maida (John) and Martha (John). She was also cherished by 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 sister in law, 2 brothers in law, many other relatives and friends.
