He is survived by: his niece Sophia Martinez; his mother Patricia Smeal; his siblings, Gabriel, Rubel, Donald Martinez, Marylou Padilla (Danny), Debra Finch (Mike), Rosina Lucero (Jimmy), Lisa Martinez (Eddie) and Patty Natividad (Aurelio); and his children, Bianca Aranda (Joel) and Jacob Martinez (Celsie). He is also survived by three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
