He was predeceased by: his father-in-law Buck Wilson; his parents, J. Windell Bridges and Vivian Finney; his brother Windell Bridges; his nephew Joshua Bridges; and his mother-in-law Florence Wilson.

He is survived by: his wife Julie; his children, Ashley Lindley (Julius) of Clovis, NM and Braden (Brooklyn) of Las Cruces, NM; his grandchildren, Sofia, Jaxon Lindley, Tate and Ila Bridges; and his siblings, Mike Melton of Ft Sumner, NM and Melissa Thomson of Clovis, NM.. He is also survived by brothers and sisters in law and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wheeler Mortuary (500 E 3rd St, Portales, NM 88130). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Central Christian Church (1528 S Main Ave, Portales, NM 88130).
