Ida Lou Witten Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 15, 2023, at the age of 98, Ida Lou Witten of Portales, New Mexico passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ida Lou Witten to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Perry Swofford and Iva Etha Swofford; her brother Jewel Ray Swofford; and her husband Vernie Elzen Witten, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Kilburn (Tom), Vonna Witten of Portales, NM and Ayse Taimuty (Dan) of Bakersfield, CA. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Since both Ida Lou and Vern both enjoyed cheering on the ENMU Women's Basketball and Volleyball teams, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be made to support both ENMU women's teams.
