He was predeceased by: his mother Pauline Howl; his brothers, Steve Howl and John; and his sister-in-law Nelda Howl. He is survived by: his children, David Howl and Chelle Strawn (Dale Boland); his grandchildren, Justin Charles Strawn (Kaylee) and Erica Strawn; his great grandchildren, Weston Kade Strawn, Casen Cole Strawn and James Everhett Farslow; his sister Betty; and his siblings-in-law, Bobby Crane of Portales and Marcia Howl (Steve) of Portales.
