It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evila Armijo of Portales, New Mexico, who passed away on April 28, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Manuel, Albert Payen, Elfida Gardino, Elva Aranda and Estella Payen Arenivas.
She is survived by: her husband Eddy Armijo; her children, Eddy Armijo, Jr. (Yvonne) of Portales, Sonia Armijo of Portales and Mireya; her son-in-law Gilbert Rojas of El Paso, TX; her grandchildren, Marcua, Andrew, Lorenzo Armijo and Che Ulibarri; her great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Ariana, Aubrey and Naila Armijo; her siblings, Armando Payen of Portales, Olga Aldaz of Portales and Nina Payen of Portales; and her sisters-in-law, Anita Payen (Manuel) of Portales and Mary Lou Payen (Albert) of Portales. She is also survived by 47 nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St Helen Catholic Church (1600 S Ave O, Portales, NM 88130). A Mass will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
