He was predeceased by: his parents, Belle Heflin and J. B. Heflin; his brother Jerald Duane Heflin; his sister-in-law Ludell Heflin (Danny); and his great grandchild Kaela Lee Griffin.
He is survived by: his wife Pauline Hamilton; his daughters, Paula Heflin of Portales, Patti Heflin (Alfonso Gomez) of Portales and Sheryl McClary (Kelly) of Portales; his grandchildren, Gary T. Griffin, Amber Griffin, Quentin Griffin, Charles (Becky Morris), Robert (Amber Morris), Ashley (James Kendrick) and Kassey McClary (Henry Lucero); his siblings, Tommy Heflin (Joletha) of Portales, Danny Heflin (Donis Bouldin) of Portales and Yvonne Bates (Erv) of Brownwood, TX; his sister-in-law Kay Heflin (Jerald) of Abilene, TX; his aunt Pat; his uncle Emory Lee; and his nephews, Dr. Jerald Heflin and Danny Jack Heflin. He is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
