He was predeceased by: his father Elias Maez Jr.; his grandparents, Elias Maez Sr., Estella Apodaca Maez, Nicanor Sanchez and Ascension Sanchez; and his father-in-law Frank Vega.
He is survived by: his wife Carla; his grandchildren, Ava and Axel Trujillo; his mother Patsy Maez; his mother-in-law Tisha Vega; his siblings, Matthew Maez (Lenore) and Maria Marez (Paul); and his siblings-in-law, Patsy Vega, Ronnie Vega (Mary) and Sonny Vega (Maddie). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
His last good deed was to give life to someone else through organ donations.
