He is survived by: his spouses, Victoria Sedillo and Vickie Sedillo Otero; his children, Diego, Carlos, Mario and Victoria; his grandchildren, Joshua, Victoriana and Alainna; his mother Oralia Otero; and his siblings, Emilio Otero, Violet Otero, Don Murray, Theresa Murray, Don DiPaolo, Prescilla DiPaolo and Richard Otero.
