It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edwin Michael Varela of Pecos, New Mexico, who passed away on October 14, 2022, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother Vincent-Andrew. He is survived by: his wife Deborah; his sons, Vincent (Vanessa) and Andrew (Kassondra); his granddaughter Katelynn; his daughter Stacie Ohler (Jason); his stepsons, Steve and Carlos Vigil (Nicole); his grandchildren, Adam, Izaak, Andrew, Vincent Jr., Alina, Elijah, Joshua and Heaven; his siblings, Eudelia Tarr Martha Tanuz (Tony), Laura Varela, Berna Varela, Arthur Varela (Isabell) and Alex Varela (Teresa); and his siblings-in-law, Fred, Velma Montaño, Cynthia Marquez (Steve), Lloyd Tafoya (Judy) and Michael Montaño (Betsy). He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and relatives.
