He was predeceased by: his siblings, Richard Dixon and Dorma Lee Wheeler; and his grandson-in-law Tyler Russell. He is survived by: his spouse LaNita Heard; his children, Charles Dixon of Alto, NM, Herschel (Connie Dixon), Stanley (Vickie Dixon), Durward (Tina Dixon) and Jeannette; his son-in-law Larry Perkins of Tucumcari, NM; and his grandchildren, Brecca Addison, Kendra DeLaVega (Alex), Tammy Bingham (Zach), Dustin Dixon (Tonya), Danna Thompson (Ty), Kenton Perkins, Kennetha Perkins, Keannette Russell, Sunni Dixon, Morgan Fraze and Kendra Soto (Mike).
