He is survived by: his parents, Benito Chavez and Virginia Otero Chavez; his wife Christine Moreno Otero; his daughter Brooklynn Dae Otero; his grandchildren, Montana Jude Otero, Gianna Mia and Analynn Otero; his godparents, Max and Gloria Blea; his godchildren, Matthew Chavez, Kiara Alamanza and Melanie Astorga; and his siblings, Laura Otero, Bea Carlile (Jim), Betty Ortega, Benito Chavez (Sally) and Richard Chavez.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lion's Club of Moriarty (515 Lions Ln, Moriarty, NM 87035). A burial will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at the Stanley Nm Cemetery (3947 NM-41, Stanley, NM 87056).
