She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer L. Mathies and Eunice C. Mathies; her husband Glenn Hopson; her brothers, Elmer L. Mathies, Jr. and Tom C. Mathies; and her children, Janice Lynn Bowen Gunther and Ronald James Bowen.
She is survived by: her former husband James M. Bowen; her daughter Denise Cable (Ken); her grandchildren, Blake Cable and Randa Macdonald Kircher (Dalen); her great grandchildren, Autumn and Will; her stepdaughters, Edana Harvey and Joie King (Rocky); her great grandchild Glenn; her sister-in-law Margaret Mathies; her child Quinn Mathies; her grandchildren, Ann and Jacob; her daughter Cara Mathies Coless (Lou); and her grandchildren, Keith and Cameron.
The family requests memorials donations are sent to Faith Presbyterian Hospice located at the Boone Pickens Center, 12477 Merit Drive, Dallas, TX 75251.
