He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Willis and Hattie Willis (Walter); and his siblings, Dorothy, Novella, Alverna, Harvey and James.

He is survived by: his children, Martell R. Willis (Sharon) and Gina L. Broussard (Michael). He is also survived by brother.
