It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gustavo A. Mares of Mora, New Mexico, who passed away on March 30, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Pedro Mares and Lilly Medina Mares. He is survived by: his children, Ernestine Mares (Manuel), Donnella Sanchez (Jerry), Louie Mares (Andrea) of Los Montoyas, NM and Paul Mares (Pauline); his siblings, Jessie Mares (Patti), Eddie Mares (Cathy), Dora, Virginia, Julia and Lucy; his caregiver Vickie Berg; and his close friend Champ (Tiger). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, numerous nieces and nephews as well as his puppy.
