Bobby G Montano Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bobby G Montano (Mora, New Mexico), born in Ledoux, New Mexico, who passed away on December 30, 2020, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends.
Bobby is survived by his son, Johnny Montano of Mora, NM; brother Pete Montano of Las Vegas, NM; sister Linda Abeyta (Steve) of Grants, NM; his Montano grandchildren, Johnny (Albuquerque, NM), Elizabeth (San Antonio, TX), Isaiah (Taos, NM), Jalen (Taos, NM), and Juan Diego (Las Vegas, NM). Bobby also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his special dog, Smokey, who he loved and cherished.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eliseo and Erlinda; brother Johnny “Monanie” Montano; sister Priscilla Martinez; sister Lillian Delgadillo; and sister-in-law Consuelo “Chelo” Martinez-Montano.
Bobby graduated from Mora High School in 1969 and went on to enlist in the United States Army. Bobby proudly served his country in the Vietnam War.
Those who knew Bobby say that he was the most generous person in the room and would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. Bobby was also described as a very hard-working and caring man, who also loved a good laugh. His storytelling skills were unmatched and always left his audience on the edge of their seat.
The family wishes to thank those who provided loving care, support, and friendship to him during his last two years of life.
Bobby may have been taken from us, but his memory will live with us forever. We will continue to love you and miss you!
