It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mariano Juarez (Mescalero, New Mexico), born in Carlsbad, New Mexico, who passed away on March 27, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Benito Juarez and Zulema Juarez. He is survived by: his wife Toni Treas-Juarez; his children, Mariano Juarez, Matthew Cook, Elsa Juarez, Topaz Juarez, Sarah Juarez and Jana Cook; his grandchildren, Javier Juarez, Mariano Juarez III, Xynazia Cook, Christiana Pena, Christopher Pena, Ismail Lapaz, Devon Cook, Damien Cook-Kazhe, Marvin Cook-Kazhe and Theron Lapaz; his great grandchildren, Arituane Juarez and Leon Kazhe; his siblings, Francisco Juarez, Dibrell Juarez, Elizabeth T. Juarez, Olga Juarez and Tina Juarez; and his niece Sherry Juarez.
