He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, David T. Shoemaker and Velma F. Springer Shoemaker; his stepmother Martha Chavez; his siblings, Francis Scholl and James Shoemaker; his wife Sue Ann; his children, Roy David, Ralph (Laurie Shoemaker), Martha (Cory McCarrell) and Molly (Danny Juarez); his grandchildren, Dr. Easton McCarrell (Megahan Harrison), Haegan McCarrell, Darian (Hondo Wood), Dillon Juarez, Danyon Juarez (Jesse Solano) and Sierra Shoemaker; his great grandchildren, Bristol, Jayden and Jonas; and his sisters, Peggy Guyer, Patricia Gaussoin and Latricia Moore. He was also cherished by many nephews, nieces and cousins.
