He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Herman and Bessie Leota Marler (Vaughn); his wife JoAnn; his brothers, Claude Edwin, Herman Loyd, Donald Ray, Billy Wayne and Vaughn Lee; and his brother-in-law Jack (Carol Ann Jackson).
He is survived by: his friends, Gene Murphy and Lee Oden; his sisters-in-law, Ginger Marler and Patsy Marler-Gloor; his grandchildren, Taylor Marler, Hallie Marler, Amaree Caballero, Mindee Wiebe and Andrew Wiebe; his great grandchildren, Greyson Rodriguez and Charlee Dye; his nieces and nephews, Michele Cotton and Michael Jackson; and his great-niece Brenna Cotton.
