He was predeceased by: his parents, George Olan and Vida Grimshaw; his son Rodney; his siblings, Charles and Teresa; and his sons, George Howard (Theresa) of California City and Larry of Tehachapi, CA.

He is survived by: his grandsons, George Elliot, David, Brandon, Wesley, Wyatt and Wade Grimshaw; his wife Pat of California City; and his brother Thad (Cecilia) of Durham, NC. He is also survived by seven grandsons, and six great-grandchildren, as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
