He is survived by: his wife Ernesteen Lawrence Akers (Teena); his children, Lynda (Brent Davis) of Lovington, Becky (Rusty Weaver) of Hobbs, NM, Michelle (Adam Bock) of El Paso, TX and Roger Akers of Amarillo, TX.; his grandchildren, Cory (Ashley Davis), Cole (Shelby Manry), Brannon (Sam Davis), Jay (Dakota Allman), Tiffany Davis, Joslynn (Daniel Stevens), Austin Allman, Makenna Akers (Andrue Griffin), Mattison Bock, Aiden Bock and Ashlee Akers; his great grandchildren, Kadynce Davis, Chayse Davis, Kamryn Manry, Tristyn Manry, Maci Davis, Wesley Allman, Zoey Davis, Charlie Davis, Hendrix Akers and Colby Manry; and his aunts, Marie Marchman and Gatha Herron. He is also survived by His children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
