He was predeceased by: his parents, George Davis Hammons and Lauvenia Clyde Robinson Hammons; his wife Mary Luella Tigert Hammons; his sons, Carl Dean and Lynn Dale Hammons; and his siblings, Monroe and Ruby Montgomery.
He is survived by: his son Donald Wayne Hammons of St. Augustine, FL.; and his sister Norma Dell Savage of Roswell, NM. He is also survived by four Grandchildren and seven Great-grandchildren.
