Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Dorothy Frances Runnels (Lovington, New Mexico), who passed away at the age of 97, on June 17, 2020. She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Hildreth and Sadie Mae Gilland (Fincher); her brother Andy; her husbands, Harold Runnels and Bill Clendenen; and her son Michael.
She is survived by: her children, Julian, Sasha of Newport Beach, California and Phillip (Sherry) of Paris; her grandchild Tamra (Todd); her stepsons, Blaze and Cody of Hendersonville, Tennessee; her son Matt (Judy); her grandchildren, Zachary, Mariah and Sinea of Silver City; her daughter Eydie of Midland; her grandchildren, Ben (Cassidy) of Lincoln, Sam and Abby of Denton, Texas; her stepchildren, Annette Clendenen of San Angelo and Dennis Clendenen of Oklahoma; and her stepgrandson Shane Clendenen of San Angelo. She is also survived by friends and extended family.
Because of the Covid-19 virus, a public service at Resthaven Cemetery in Lovington, NM at 10:30 a. m. for Dorothy will be held on Friday, June 26.
Memorials may be made to the Dorothy Runnels Scholarship fund at New Mexico Junior College, or to the general fund or elevator fund at the Lea County Museum in Lovington.
