It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Gene Sims of Lovington, New Mexico, who passed away on June 17, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Sims and Theresa Sims; his child Presha Dawn Sims; and his grandson Robert. He is survived by: his wife Nell; his sister Francene Hoffman; and his stepchildren, Judy Yeager (Wes Taylor), Tammy Yeager, Bobbie Sue Smith (Pete Reyes), Tony Yeager (Shelly) and Roy Yeager (Cecilia).
In lieu of flowers, Don's family suggests a donation to Bill Glass' prison ministry; Behind the Walls, 1101 S. Cedar Ridge Dr., Duncanville, TX 75137 or to the jail ministry in Hobbs and Lovington.
