He is survived by: his wife Myrtie Spears; his children, Rebecca Starkey (Shayne) of Eunice and Toby Spears of Hobbs; his grandsons, Tory Duda of Lubbock and Brady Spears (Christine) of Waco; and his siblings, Elton Spears (Jeanie) of Levelland, Frankie Pond of Silsbee, Jack Spears (Linda) of Seminole, Geneva Spears of Evergreen and BJ Sandhop (Garland) of Inez, Texas.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
