She was predeceased by: her parents, Felipe Romero and Gregoria Rodriquez; and her siblings, Natividad Romero (Blackie), Edubijen Romero (Ed), Alfonso Rodriguez, Arturo Romero, Jose Luis Romero and Dora Trujillo.
She is survived by: her former husband Arturo Franco; her children, Elizabeth Franco (Liza), Cesar Franco (Liz) of Carlsbad, NM and Imelda Franco (Rey Murillo) of Loving, NM; her sister Virginia R. Gonzales (Alfredo) of Bakersfield, CA; her great grandchildren, Porfirio Sotelo and Araceli Sotelo; and her significant other Jesus Mendoza. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
