She was predeceased by: her parents, Juana J. Hernandez and Augustine Florez, Sr.; her husband Mike S. Valdez, Sr.; her children, Lionel Valdez and Lyla Molina; her grandsons, Henry Gutierrez, Jr. and Efren Gutierrez; her siblings, Celia Franco, Elosia Matta, Lilly Acosta, Pete Jasso and Shutters Hernandez; and her grandparents, Martin and Angelita Sotelo.
She is survived by: her children, Viola Gutierrez (Henry) of Carlsbad, NM, Sylvia Gutierrez (Alejandro, Sr.) of Loving, NM, Mike Valdez, Jr. of Carlsbad, NM, Felix Valdez of Loving, NM, Leo Valdez of Carlsbad, NM, Eszikel Valdez of Glendale, AZ and Daniel Valdez (Patty) of Loving, NM; and her siblings, Chooky Hernandez (Mary), Bob Hernandez (Betty), Manuel Uribe, Augustine Florez, Jr. (Delma), Eloy Florez (Mary Lou), Gloria Najera, Pauline Biscaino, Celina Hernandez (Martin Campos) and Vangie F. Valdez (Rudy). She is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
