He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Hernandez, Sr. and Maria Hernandez (Leon); and his siblings, Ismael Hernandez, Juan Hernandez, Oscar Hernandez and Elisa Rodriguez (Licha).
He is survived by: his daughter Chelsey Flores (Gio) of Carlsbad; his granddaughter Gianeley Flores; and his siblings, Socorro Hernandez of California, Maria Rico (Tiche), Hilda Salmon, Armondo Hernandez of Phoenix and Fernando Hernandez of Las Cruces, NM. He is also survived by 44 nieces and nephews.
