He was predeceased by: his parents, J. D. Whitlock and Maxine Graham Whitlock; his parents-in-law, Frank London and Eunice London; and his siblings-in-law, Gerald Cass and Nancy Whitlock.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Whitlock of Carlsbad, NM; his children, Norman Whitlock of Carlsbad, NM, Duncan Whitlock (Wendy) of Carlsbad, NM and Renee Calhoun (Russ) of Canyon, TX; his grandchildren, Austin Peralta of Carlsbad, NM, D. J. Whitlock of Carlsbad, NM, Cora Whitlock of Carlsbad, NM, Devin Calhoun (Ashley) of Canyon, TX and Shaela Calhoun of Canyon, TX; his great grandchildren, Jaylen Whitlock of Carlsbad, NM, Max Calhoun of Canyon, TX, Ty Calhoun of Canyon, TX and Gracie Calhoun of Canyon, TX; and his siblings, Boneva Cass of Carlsbad, NM and Bobby Whitlock of Muskegon, MI. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
