He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton McCleskey and Helen McCleskey (Wileman); and his stepson Jacob Russell Morton. He is survived by: his wife Tracie; his children, Jeannie Mahan (Mike) and Randy McCleskey (Laura); his stepdaughter Jessica Tingstrom (Jason); his grandchildren, Chloe McCleskey, Abagayle, Jesse Mahan, Connor, Alexis and Micayla Hardie; and his siblings, Larry McCleskey (Becky) and Judy Whitney. He is also survived by several nieces and cousins.
