It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elizabeth Chavez (Los Lunas, New Mexico), who passed away on December 29, 2019, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Avilio "Lefty" Otero; her brother Marvin Otero; and her mother-in-law Fela Chavez. She is survived by: her mother Edna Cordova Otero; her husband Leroy J. Chavez; her children, Lyndsi Chavez and Jason Chavez (Vanessa Chavez); her grandchildren, Eliyah Perales (Zachary Perales), Eliana Alderete, Israel Alderete, Judah Chavez and Theodore Chavez; her great grandchild Ezekiel Perales; and her siblings, Teresa Ogas (Mike) and Marty Otero (Valerie). She is also survived by her mother, children, and grandchildren; and recently became a great grandmother.
