He was predeceased by: his father Richard Martinez; and his grandparents, Alfredo, Tercilia Sanchez of Valencia, Eduardo and Victoria Martinez of Los Cerrillos, NM..

He is survived by: his mother Elia Martinez of Los Lunas; and his sister Diana Martinez of Los Lunas. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
