He was predeceased by: his parents, Sebastian Maes and Juanita Maes; his wife Nadine Corral-Maes; his son Arnold Maes; his grandchildren, Nanette Sanchez Candelaria, Julian Aragón, Thomas Maes, Paul Maes and Angelo Maes; his grandson-in-law Jerry Sanchez; and his children-in-law, Janet Maes and Jake Jacobs.
He is survived by: his children, Harry Maes, Betty Jacobs, Juanita Lopez (Joey), Joseph Maes, Ron Maes (Carmela) and Pauline Eufemia Bruskas (Larry); his niece Bernadette Wiggins (Benito); his grandsons, Michael Wuttke, Carlos Wuttke, Christopher Aragon, JoeCruz Maes, Marvin Maes, Nathan Maes, Isaac Maes and Joshua Maes; and also Josiah Aragon-Wiggins. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 9 grandchildren-in-law; 32 great grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren-in-law; and 9 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Calvary Chapel (19381 NM-314, Belen, NM 87002). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Los Lentes Cemetery.
