She is survived by: her siblings, Martha Vigil (Sam Vigil), Joe Mares (Martha Mares), Mary Frances Mares (Felipe), Gloria Sandoval and Juan Fermin Mares; her sisters-in-law, Susan Mares and Doris Mares; her nieces, Berlinda Lucero, Shantae Mares (Dwight Padilla), Samantha Mares (Brandon Gonzales) and Brandy Mares (Lucio Garcia Jr.); her nephew Luciano Lucero; and her goddaughter Judy Padilla.
A rosary was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Church (403 Valencia St, Las Vegas, NM 87701). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location.
