He was predeceased by: his mother Teresita Benavidez; his sisters, Sally Gonzales, Mary Ann Gallegos, Julia Encinias, Cecilia Tafoya and Geneva Benavidez; and his sister-in-law Gloria Benavidez.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene D. Crespin; his daughter Celaniz J. Crespin; and his brother Benny Benavidez. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
