He was predeceased by: his parents, Arturo Montoya and Dorinda Montoya; and his brother Arturo Montoya Jr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Ashley Doage (Javarrea) and Izabella Montoya; his siblings, Frances Vigil (Daryl), Mary Ann Schultz (Darrell), Fernando Montoya (Susan), Corinne, Nick, Reyes Montoya (Andrea) and Mary Alice Barela; his sister-in-law Donna Montoya (Nichol Gallegos); and his grandchildren, Jaurae, Aja, Zyaier and Kaine. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
