He was predeceased by: his parents, Delfinia R. Salazar and Merejildo Salazar; his wife Josie Salazar; his sons, John Salazar and Anthony Salazar; his grandchildren, John Salazar and Valerie Gallegos; and his siblings, Georgia Salazar and Joe Salazar.
He is survived by: his brother Frank Salazar (Pauline); his children, Joanne Salazar, Steve Salazar (Ruby) and Sam Salazar Jr. (Elaine); and his grandson Andrew Salazar (Henrietta).
